PROJECT OVERVIEW

The William S. White Building is a spacious four-story structure and the largest building on the UM-Flint campus. The University wanted a visible, accessible, user-friendly face to the community, and this building delivers.

Coordinating the massive mechanical and electrical systems was our challenge and the solution was to segment the construction into three phases.

Phase I was the largest building section and it contains the majority of the classrooms and mechanical infrastructure. Phase II includes the major architectural features of the exterior. Phase III was the focal point of the exterior, the radial architectural concrete sunshade.
